Last Friday

Last Friday night our dear Pastor Pollock had another surgery because of all the complications that his cancer is giving him, and since our mom went to be with Mrs. Pollock, we decided that their children needed the comfort of our friendship, and company as well as lunch, dinner, volleyball, singing, and of course for all the "men" 3-19 a midnight run to wal-mart for ice-cream, was a mandatory "chivalrous deed".

While we were at home waiting for news of the outcome, our mothers were at the hospital cracking jokes with the pastor before his surgery, and he was preaching sermons to them up until the time he received his pain killers and fell into a sound sleep, which in all reality is quite amazing because when our mothers are having a good time, they are anything but quiet!
The surgery got over later than planned, because the insides were a mess from previous surgery's, but was successfully accomplished, and he is on the road to recovery.

We had a wonderful time with them and after sending the younger children to bed, we olders stayed up till shameful hours of the morning playing music, singing chorale songs, and looking at old family photo's. All in all we managed to cheer them up and have great fun and fellowship in the process, as well as build lifelong relationships.
